Cherie Chun is an interdisciplinary multimedia womenswear and print designer, illustrator, and content creator from Hong Kong.
She moved to London at the age of 17 to pursue a career in design, studying at the prestigious Central Saint Martins and acquiring a BA (Hons) Fashion Design : Print in 2024 with First Class Honours. Experienced in designing both luxury womenswear ready-to-wear and print design, she has worked at Louis Vuitton, REISS, Casablanca Paris, as well as previous stints in media production with the BBC and Corey Baker Dance troupe, South China Morning Post, and REDRESS Hong Kong. Her illustration work has also been featured in galleries and bookstores in Hong Kong and San Francisco.
With her multicultural background and keen eye for colour and observation, Cherie draws upon the whimsy of everyday life, playful surrealist fantasies, and her own cultural heritage which combine to create work that toes the line between unnerving and beautiful. She aims to draw attention to the transience of beauty, life, and the turmoil of isolation by combining technology and trompe l’œil imagery to create unexpected details.
Most recently in 2024, she created a series of process videos documenting the journey of creating her graduate collection which racked up nearly 2 million views across Instagram and YouTube. In her spare time, she enjoys photography, weightlifting and swimming, painting, recording music, reading, long walks through London parks, and (occasionally) learning new languages.
