Cherie Chun is a Cantonese interdisciplinary multimedia illustrator, womenswear and print designer, polyglot and content creator from Hong Kong. She moved to London at the age of 17 to pursue a career in design, where she is currently based.

With her multicultural background and keen eye for colour and observation, Cherie draws upon the whimsy of everyday life, playful surrealist fantasies, and her own cultural heritage which combine to create work that frequently toes the line between unnerving and beautiful. Believing in the power of beautiful but intelligent art, she aims to draw attention to unexpected yet thought-provoking ideas such as the transience of beauty, life, and emotional turmoil of isolation through trompe l’œil imagery and unexpected details.

As a creative polymath, her practice has evolved alongside a design ethos that strives to create environmentally responsible yet desirable objects and garments that sacrifice neither aesthetic appeal nor function. She graduated from BA (Hons) Fashion Design : Print at Central Saint Martins in 2024 with First Class Honours, acquiring experience working in luxury ready-to-wear and accessories design at  Louis Vuitton, Casablanca Paris, ASHISH, POSTER GIRL, and YanYan, as well as stints in media production with the BBC and the Corey Baker Dance troupe, South China Morning Post, and Redress Hong Kong.

Her current projects include expanding her creative brand through social media content, racking up over 1.3 million views by the end of 2024, seeking out mentors and means of understanding, and continuing to push herself to traverse the moat of discomfort and ultimately creating meaningful work. In her spare time, she enjoys photography, painting, recording music, reading, swimming and volleyball, long walks through London parks, and learning new languages.
